Race Events - Prince Bay 10K

Race Kit Pick Up –
When – Race Kit pick up will take place on Sunday September 5th, 2010 from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Where – At the Coronation Park Band Shell
(click here for a park map).

Participants must pick up their race kits, which includes their bib numbers and chips at the Runners Expo. There will be no race kit pick up on Monday, September 6th. An email will be sent to you by September 4th with your bib number.

Date, Start Time, Location
The Prince Bay 10K will begin at 7:30 AM at Coronation Park, Oakville. The park is located at 1462 Lakeshore Road West (just east of Third Line). The finish line will be within the park.

Course Information

• Start- Lakeshore W- in front of property #1372 with runner`s going east using (both lanes) until just prior to 4th line where runners are directed to the west bound lane (North side of road).
• Lakeshore Rd W & 4th Line- go east    in the westbound curb/shoulder to Suffolk Ave.
• Suffolk Ave- go north    in the southbound curb / shoulder lane (west side of road) to Rebecca St.
• Rebecca St- go west using half of the eastbound curb / shoulder lane (south side of road) to Jones St & same as 1/2 Marathon Route.

Weather

Aid Stations
Gatorade and water will be offered at the 4K and 7K
point along the route. Gatorade first, followed by water.

Timing
The ChampionChip Timing system will be used.

Bag Check
A bag check will be available near the finish line.

Directions & Parking
Coronation Park is at 1462 Lakeshore Rd W, Oakville, ON. Click here for a map.

Street parking is limited on streets near the park. Participants are advised to park properly and have consideration for the neighbourhood. Improperly parked vehicles may be ticketed or towed at the vehicle owner’s expense.

Additional parking is available at Harvest Bible Chapel, 1215 Lakeshore Rd West. This is 1K east along Lakeshore Rd from the start, next to the Water Pollution Control Centre.

Free Shuttle Buses
Shuttles buses will operate form the Bronte GO (2104 Wyecroft Rd) to the start from 5:30 AM. The last bus will leave the GO lot by 7:00 AM.

Buses will be stationed in the lot at the first turn into the lot just off Wyecroft Rd.
Buses will return from the finish area at Coronation Park to the Bronte GO until 1:00 PM.

Walking
The Walking category is for participants who plan to walk 100% of the distance. There is a time limit of 3.5 hours, which translates to 9 min 54sec/km over the half marathon distance. Walkers who fall behind this pace will be asked to move to the sidewalk and become pedestrians. Results will list walkers separately but there will be no prizing or age groups in the walking category.

Prizing, Age Groups
Prizing will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Male and Female place finishers in the Open and Masters categories. All finishers will receive a medal and age group results will be posted for the top three finishers in each male and female age category. Age categories are as follows: 19 & Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.

Prince Bay 10K awards begin at 8:45 AM.

All Open and Master prizes will be presented on stage. All age group results will be posted.

All awards and prizing must be picked up on race day.

There will be no duplication of prizes.

NOTE: All prizing must be picked up on the day of the event.
